What is Quinta Barroso?
Quinta Barroso is a small-scale holiday retreat in the Algarve (Portugal), close to Lagos. We rent out five unique accommodations surrounded by nature: three tiny houses (Poema, Cantarei and Bonita), a safari tent (Safarie) and a dome (Liberdade).
Where exactly is Quinta Barroso located?
We are located in Barão de São Miguel, about a 10-minute drive from the centre of Lagos and 10 minutes from the nearest beach. Faro airport is about 50 minutes away.
Which accommodations are there and for how many guests?
There are five accommodations: Poema (tiny house, max. 2 guests), Cantarei (tiny house, max. 2 guests), Bonita (tiny house, max. 2 guests), Safarie (safari tent, max. 4 guests) and Liberdade (dome, max. 2 guests).
Is there a swimming pool?
Yes, there is a shared pool (not heated).
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Yes, bed linen and towels are included for all guests.
Is there Wi-Fi?
No, there is no Wi-Fi on site.
Are pets allowed?
No, unfortunately pets are not allowed.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is free parking on site.
How do I book at Quinta Barroso?
You submit a booking request through our website. We first check whether your chosen dates are still available; once we have confirmed this, we reserve the period for you and you receive the payment details by email.
How does payment work?
To confirm your booking we ask for a 30% deposit of the total amount. Once we have received it, your booking is final. You pay the remaining amount before arrival; you will receive a timely reminder for this. If your arrival is within 7 days, we ask for the full amount at once instead of 30%. If preferred, the balance may also be paid in cash on arrival.
What happens if I don’t pay on time?
If we do not receive the (deposit) payment on time, the reservation is automatically cancelled and the period becomes available again.
Is there a minimum number of nights?
Yes, a minimum of 2 nights applies to all accommodations.
Is there a surcharge for extra guests?
For the safari tent (Safarie) the first 2 guests are included; for each additional adult there is a surcharge of 15 euros per person per night, payable in cash on arrival (not included in the online total).
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out before 11:00 AM.
What is there to do in the area?
Beautiful beaches, the old town of Lagos, hiking and nature, restaurants and a supermarket 10 minutes away. The nearest beach is just a 5-minute drive away.
